School is back! *cringes*
I can see the rather fair expressions on my little siblings' faces. Not so excited, not so happy and not so sad either. In between, I think.
Watching them getting ready for school pretty much reminded me of how was it like when I was little. I can see that my siblings get new school bags, new pencil cases (although my last sister kept referring to it as '
pencil box' when it is anything
but), new shoes...almost
everything new. They even got to choose the style they liked, and how these things worked etc. and I will later ramble about my own schooling experience.
Hummit (not my last sister's real name): *looking rather concern*
Ibu! You forgot to buy me a new pencil box!
(and of course, she doesn't speak English this good yet. I am merely translating.)
Me:
Eh, what happened to the old one?
Hummit:
It has holes already! I will have to carry it with me for my Islamic Studies class.
Me:
What is the problem if it has holes? You can cover the inner part with a plastic bag. Holes will be patched.
Hummit:
No, I don't want. I'm don't want to be humiliated by doing so.
Me: *jaws dropped*
Amboi.
Apart from that, my mother and I went on and on about other things like cleanliness, neatness, homework etc. But I was honest to my little siblings, telling them I was a lazy ass when in comes to homework.
MWAHAHAHA. But still, I wasn't stupid. Just plain lazy. The teachers didn't like me much either because of my couldn't-care-less face, I suppose; when the truth is I was totally a very blur kiddo.
Anyway, I hope my dear little siblings (
Hummit, LaiLai, Aebot & Kajim) will have a great year and do their best.
Footnote: Cannot wait to move out and have a pet kitten. Mom can tolerate!
