A loud, fast, aggressive, beautiful substance. I roll with bullets and play with guns. Complications in life; they are deathly pretty.

Been wanting to write this. Now is the perfect time.

I don't have many guy friends before I got into college. Just a few. Most of them lived thousand of miles away from me.

Yesterday, I received a news that I never thought I'd get. My ex Brian told me that our good friend Patrick Vern died in a car accident. I couldn't attend his funeral and I really hoped that I could go and bid my final farewell to him.

What frustrates me the most is the respect he didn't get from his parents. He was a gay. A proud one. Yet, I befriend him not because of his sexual orientation. He was, on his own, a wonderful human being. Being the littlest girl in the clique, he always stood up for me, demanding his other American buddies to respect me and my culture, my beliefs.

I know I'm a Muslim and that Islam bans homosexuality but to me, that is just between the person and God. I have no right to judge them just because they are gays or lesbians or even bisexuals. If they are good people, I'll treat them good.

I know Patrick's parents might be upset about what their son had chose to be. Somehow, I think that at least, please don't ignore him even when he had died. His parents ignored him. They never wanted him to come home after he left the house to pursue his dreams of becoming a model. I adore his spirits, his courage.

This is not the first time I lost a friend. I lost another friend, Ritchie Neville, who was more like a brother to me and my best friend, Yape. We never met him and yet, we kept a close contact. We shared stories with him, exchanged pictures and listened to everyone among us three. He was a humble Briton, and he moved to California to start his own business. He had an adopted daughter that he loved so much and a wife he treasured all his life.

He died too in an accident, a the age of 27, leaving behind his adopted daughter and his 6-month-pregnant wife. I think by this time, their first child is already 2 years old.

I loved these guys. They were true and amazing friends.

Rich, I'll never forget your funny stories and how we both wanted Portugal to win over Greece.

Patrick, I'll never forget all the amazing things you do for me as a friend.

I love you guys so freaking much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for being wonderful friends of mine.

R.I.P. Patrick Gregory Vern & Ritchie Daniel Ryan Neville.
