Ayah...

Kakak minta maaf kalau Ayah rasa kami tak sayang Ayah. Bukan macam tu. Ayah tetap Ayah kami, dunia akhirat. Tetapi Ayah tak boleh nafikan apa yang jadi dulu.

Kami memang anak-anak Ayah; tapi kami pun manusia, Ayah. Kami ada hati, ada perasaan, ada akal, ada batas kesabaran. Ayah pun begitu. Wallahualam. Hanya Allah saja yang tahu apa yang terdetik di hati Ayah bila anak-anak Ayah kurang berminat untuk bertemu Ayah.

Pada Ayah, ini disebabkan pengaruh Ibu. Tetapi bukan begitu. Tidak boleh lagi kami atau sesiapa pun manusia biasa di dunia ini yang patut menyangkal darjat Ibu. Ibu itu paling utama.

Pernahkah Ayah bertanya pada diri jika reaksi kami ini adalah disebabkan tindakan Ayah dulu? Ketika ego Ayah tebal? Ketika tiada apa yang mampu lagi untuk menghalang Ayah melakukan
apa yang telah Ayah laksanakan?

Sanggupkah Ayah mengaku itu silap Ayah? Atau Ayah akan terus menuding jari pada orang lain? Masih tebalkah ego Ayah? Sekelumit pun ia tidak pernah terhakis dengan apa yang terjadi?

Kami tidak benci. Kami tidak dendam. Cuma sukar bagi kami untuk melihat Ayah sepertimana Ayah yang dahulu kami kenal. Sukar.

InsyaAllah. Kakak berdoa suatu hari nanti Ayah akan faham isi hati kami, dan mungkin Ayah akan berubah.

My Random Twenty

Well, this is supposed to be a tag but well, I grabbed it from Lei's Facebook notes since I am obviously bored. Teehee~

1. I love to eat actually. Those who really know me know how much I eat but it's just that I don't get fat easily.

2. I think my college is somewhat so-so but never mind; I came prepared.

3. Please don't ask me to eat if I'm angry or sad or upset. I just can't swallow any food at that moment.

4. I am a potential stalker.

5. I love snakes, cats, and a whole lot of animals actually.

6. I have been neglecting my MySpace(s) XD

7. I am weird in a sense I can continue the already paused conversation about anything.

8. I may demand some space for myself but in a way, I don't want to be isolated.

9. The only sports that I did well during school was 'lompat tinggi'. I'M NOT KIDDING! But I avoided in participating for Sports Day.

10. I hate it when people take me for granted and back stab when I'm so nice to them.

11. When I'm depressed, I can cry like a banshee and get way too negative about myself.

12. I love my family and friends a lot.

13. If I get so depressed, I may experience the risk forgetting certain events that has happened or things.

14. I am very used to not getting anything on my special days because I am the eldest one.

15. I want to do bungee jumping, reverse bungee, sky-diving etc before I die.

16. Trust is something I used to give away so freely back then. Now it's way too expensive.

17. Most guys that I have crushes on in real life are jerks.

18.If I offer to help you with anything, please do not ask me what you can give me in return.

19. When I love anyone, I really do. But sometimes, not all of them love me anyway.

20. When people complain about me, I don't blame them. I will look back at myself and see what's really missing. It's hard when one thing's fixed, these people come up to point out my new mistakes.

Kids should just be kids

Kids should just...have fun. Have it all while they can.

They should not worry about things like body shape, or how much fat they consume, or how chubby their cheeks are, or even how they look like.

Those should NEVER be a child's concern.

Childhood is all about enjoying the innocence, the fun, the exploration. Children themselves should always be celebrated, encouraged, supported, loved and cared. They don't need elder ones to ridicule them, or to drop their self-esteem. Childhood is a stage that can possibly shape children; an slight peek of what kind of person they will be in the future.

I have had my childhood stage. It wasn't a very happy one. I was a slow learner. I had very low self esteem. I was quite. I asked for what I want but I got used to these requests getting turned down. I was easily exploited, and manipulated. What I said were usually not listened to. I didn't get answers for most of my questions. I lied and got punished. I was a subject of complaints for many teachers. Not many noticed any of my capabilities. Sometimes, just because kids are kids, they get ridiculed.

However, it is important to help troubled kids to bounce back. I managed to do so on my own and I'm glad, am grateful, and am proud that I did not go to waste with so much negativity in my childhood.

It is time for older people like us to start realizing that children don't need to be treated like adults. Kids should just be kids.

Doing what I do best during semester breaks...

Gearing up to be even geekier than ever. I pretty much own the PC during semester break, even more so if school break for the kids (and school teachers) is over.

I have no better companion than the internet. That is why I love to learn about what it has to offer.

Some of them are bad things, some of them are good ones. It is important to learn both, actually. To learn bad things like hacking and creating viruses is actually a chance for you to understand the internet better and to practice better ways of using the internet so you can shield your virtual life from being exploited.

I love the internet, without further doubts. LOL.

Braces.

Yes, I want to go and get my lower teeth structured properly. Well, at first it didn't look like a huge concern until I noticed a few stains at the back of my lower teeth that cannot be removed by brushing or even using Listerine. I couldn't even remove them with my nails (bad habit, I know).

My brother suggested going to the dentist and getting it cleaned but I was thinking how many times will I go to the dentist just to get these stains cleaned from time to time? I might as well go and get my lower teeth braced and do not have to face this problem in the future.

Painful? Pedulik la. Sakit sekarang, happy2 kemudian ler..

Back to school!

That's my littlest sister. She is all raring for school. Went to register her for Standard One. It was a very boring event, to be honest. I have no idea when I fell asleep halfway during the headmistress's speech. Everyone was dead boring!

Thank goodness it wasn't so long. I believe my sister got bored too.

On new year's eve, my littlest sister Ummi just couldn't figure out why all the TV channels were viewing the Prime Minister's speech! The funny thing is that she asked my mother if there is anything wrong with the TV.

Happy New Year 2009

A new year it is and frankly, I don't feel anything good or bad. My feeling is quite neutral. I still live my days the way it is. All I am waiting is the day I will be officially an adult; that would be another 2 years in time.

New year's resolution? I never had one and maybe never will. I don't really think it is that crucial. To me, by the end of the day, all that matters is the journey. Not necessarily the goals you set. If you achieved them, that's a great job. If you don't, then it is possible for many reasons why it is so. I don't think it is working for me anyway, or perhaps I don't really have anything to chase other than completing my life throughout the whole year beneficially.

I think in this new year I am just hoping to grow wiser, better, and that I'll be happier. I will be fully ready to accept what will happen and face it. Trust is something I have finally learned not to be given so freely. I am also ready to gain and lose anything.


Nothing is permanent.
